Review
This was a cracker of a book - one which turns the idea of a case on its head. Normally it is crime, investigation, prosecution and jail. However, the crime has been committed and the person is in jail. But, then one of the victims turns up in a local library. WTF! This turns Maggie’s into someone with a score to settle. She knows that Raven is still behind it somehow and she is determined to prove it. A cat and mouse fight ends up taking place between Maggie and Raven.
The whole story had me gripped - no line or word was wasted, they all had a purpose and that was to drive you crazy! You just wanted and needed to find out what was going to happen! I devoured this book in one day as it was crazy good. Noelle is a superb writer and she has become someone that I really look forward to reading and this is only book two.
I was really impressed with how true Maggie stayed to the character which was developed in the first book and didn’t waver in her belief that Raven was the man behind it all, even when those whose trust she valued began to question her.
I think it is fair to say that I can’t wait for the next in the series!
